The Guild
The Dallas Symphony Orchestra Guild is
a group of classical music lovers who are dedicated to deepening their knowledge
and appreciation of classical music.
That is our bond. We are from all walks
of life, know each other on a first name basis and greet one another at the Symphony,
the Guild and other musical events.
Sharing the music we love with friends makes it a
more meaningful experience.
About The Guild
The Dallas Symphony Orchestra Guild presents 5 Luncheon and 5 Evening events each
season. Guild events are generally small and intimate in nature, with plenty of chances
to meet and speak directly with our guest musicians, composers, and conductors. We hold one fund-raising
Gala event each year. All proceeds from the Gala provide 100% funding for
the DSO's Performance Preludes pre-concert lecture series.

The Dallas
Symphony Orchestra Guild is
a support group for the DSO that sponsors the Performance
Preludes - free educational lectures at the Meyerson Symphony
Center one hour before every classical series performance.
During the concert season, the Guild holds both luncheon and
evening programs for its members and their guests to meet and
talk with the guest soloist, the composer or the conductor
featured in the upcoming weekend’s DSO performance. These
programs, designed to enrich the participant’s knowledge and
appreciation of classical music, are additional ways in which
the Guild furthers its educational purpose. Proceeds from the
Spring Gala will go directly to support the Performance
Preludes.
